Miles got the treat of his life, a doggie boscotti! I'm sure it was intended for a much larger dog than a boston terrier but he took it down like a champ, with a little help from Piper. When I wasn't looking, I saw her take a huge bit out of it. Oh well, I think it's all edible.

Budding Artist
Oh my, what shall I create now?
This easel and green stool are just great!!! I can color whenever the mood strikes me!!!
This past weekend, when I went to Michigan, I had the pleasure of shopping the new IKEA in Canton. As usual, Piper was the one who made out with all the goodies....although I did get a pretty sweet dish scrubber for 99cents....
Visiting the MSU girls
The four of us before we went to dinner Saturday night. Angie, Trish, Wendi and Myself.
My lovely friend Trish flew in all the way from Pennsylvania to hang out with us! I guess that's what you get for moving so far away from us.
This past weekend, I left Michael and Piper to fend for themself (with some help from Nana and Papa on Friday, thanks so much!!!) and made the Northern hike to Howell, Michigan to visit my college girlfriends. We all met at Angie's, since she's due with her third baby (a girl) in just a few weeks!!!! We had such a great time, and Angie showed us in true Howell fashion how to really party. Ladies, thanks for the "Memories" and I can't wait untill next year. Hopefully I can show you how fun Indy is.
Fire breathing NunZilla windup
It's kinda blury, but here she is in action, spitting fire, carrying her stick and bible....
My mom, collects windup toys and I think we found one she dosn't have. Windup Nunzilla breathes fiery sparks as she walks. Say your prayers! Grandma, you can add this one to your collection next time we see you! Kinda naughty and funny too....
Coloring a picture for Aunt Betsy...
We survive Lake Monroe camping...hardly
Our tentsite...
Piper playing in the water. She really loved her swimmies, which were as big as her arm, kinda funny....
Nothing like bacon and eggs in the morning....Piper didn't like em' and would have prefered her waffle I think....
Miles is truely overheated here....you can tell because he wouldn't even help out and eat the goldfish crackers Piper threw at him...the crittervac was out of commission.
Ok, so hot was an understatement...we camped at the gates of Hell. We all lived to tell about it, those of us that can talk anyway. Other than the lack of sleep and 5 lbs of sweat we lost trying to sleep in the tent, we had a steamy good time. We made our own food, slept on the floor, made fires (just for the ambience, not for warmth!), swam in the lake, Piper and Miles at lots of things off the dirty ground, and went on lots of walks. Oh, we also killed a few hours in Nashville, IN which was very fun...
Going camping...
All our junk ready to go, yes we are only going for 2 nights. I made miles get in the picture.
So we're all set to go camping this weekend, we leave this afternoon. I'm a little scared, it going to be in the upper 80's, low 90's and we are taking Miles, and if any of you guys know anything about him, you know he does not do well in heat. So, pray we have a fully shadded tent area, can keep cold water, and he doesn't over-heat. Isn't it funny, I have no concerns about my child, I'm worried about the dog....so it goes. I'll report back how it went, hopefully I'm happy and camping was fun. Have a great "Muggly" as the guy on FOX 59 weather put it, weekend.
sidenote: if you're wondering, the toys in the background are not comming...Piper does not get to take her Babies stroller with her.
Miles the toxic doggie
Can you guess which one Miles unloaded on?
Before....Look how lovely it is....
After the toxic liquid wrath...it's a perennial but I have my doubts reguarding it's return next season. I got it at Lowes, which they guarentee every plant they sell to come up the following year... I think I might bring it back and fib that I have no clue as to what happened to it.(since I actually didn't see him pee on it, it's not a lie) Honestly, only 24 hrs later and it was shriveled up to nothing.
So we invested all this time, hard work, love, emotion, (money) into our backyard garden/landscaping this past spring and have really been enjoying watching it grow these past few weeks. You would think I would be fighting the usual flower garden issues such as weeds, crab grass, clover, japanese beatles, slugs, insects, anything but this...Miles is killing our garden one potty break at a time. Take a look at this example (it's only an example, he's done it to a few other unsupecting black-eyed susan plants and a cute beach grass plant) , which I swear he accomplish in just 24 hours, because the plant was fine the night before....
Vinny is Boston of the Day!!!

Hello Friends, Our cousin Vinny is Boston Terrier of the day on the blogger site: www.boston-terrier-blog.blogspot.com
I also have a link to the site under my "blogfriends" if you just want to click there...
Please check him out and leave him a comment on how adventurous and sporty he is. Vinny looks to be far braver than Miles, or is her just scared beyond belief...you be the judge.
Walking Elmo

Before we went to bed tonight, to burn off some ice-cream-bedtime-snack-steam, we decided to walk Elmo around the neighborhood. Unfortunatly, the walk ended up in a likly situation of Mommy carrying Piper home after she got going too fast and tripped, therefore skinning her knee pretty badly. The good new was, she was tough and didn't cry, and got an Elmo band-aid when we got home. But, a pair of sly little neighborhood sista's did try to steal the Elmo stroller right outta Mommys hands on the walk back, while the little girls older sister tried to get Mommys attention by telling her Piper was cute. Crazy ladies, I'l not falling for that trick....
Lucas comes over to play
Lucas and Piper in the sandturtle together, 2 seconds before Lucas pushes Piper outta the sandturtle and calls "king of the sandturtle" and starts eating sand....
Snack time, water sippies and dry cereal, yum.
Today was pretty fun because this afternoon our friend Lucas came over to play for a little while...
4th of July Crazies...
My sister Jayme, Piper lady, and Great-grandma Baker waiting for dinner to be ready...
Michael playing with the Elling cousins, and yes, the nude one going down the slide is mine. I don't know how that happened, you'll have to ask Michael.
Michael and my Dad doing a fine job setting up our palace for the holiday....
Baby Roxy home in Holland for the first time. She made quite an impression. I'm not sure how they'll ever get her back on the plane to Seattle. I think all her aunties might just keep her in Michigan....so cute.
Piper LOVED LOVED LOVED the sparklers. It was hard to get them outta her hand even after they were done sparkling.
This past week we packed up our things once again and headed north 4 hours for Holland, Michigan. We had one goal in mind, getting crazy with the families. I think we accomplished it. Piper stayed up till midnight, got up at 4:30, skinny dipped in front of all her aunts, uncles, cousins, and we blew up a lot of stuff, namely fireworks. Overall, it was a great trip that was way too short.
It's a Lazy Sunday evening...

Garfield Park

Pointing at the goldfish....
Going down a slide better suited for her size....
Getting sprayed by a huge sprinkler....
Today was flaming hot out so we decided to have a picnic lunch at Garfield Park (on the Southeast side of Indy) followed by some swimming at the aquatic center. Garfield Park, where we picnic, has this great conservatory were Piper was really into the over-grown foliage and the huge gold fish. After lunch, we went to the aquatic center and had a blast in the water until Piper threw a tantrum because she couldn't go on the big kids water slide. You know, the one where you have to be like 48" tall. I tell you what, that girl has no fear....
